Spent a lovely day with friends at Windsor Champ show, got to catch up with 2 of our Top gun Litter Theo ‘Sylviidae Be my Wingman’ who went Best Puppy in Breed. And Mavis thrilled us again by getting her 2nd RBCC.
A big congratulations goes to Mavis’ uncle, Merlin ‘Sonnetend Too Funky’ owned by Abi Stone at Sonnetend, for his Dog CC and BOB!

938 round trip to Scotland for 2 shows and the girls did my so proud!
Mavis took two 1st places, a Best of Sex in Breed, a Best opposite Sex and her 1st Reserve Bitch CC!
Penelope took two 1st places and 2 Best Special Beginner in Breed.
Their reward was a stop over in the Lake District with a long walk and a swim!

CRUFTS
Had a great day at CRUFTS, with a 1st for Penelope in Post Graduate Bitch and Reserve for Mavis in Limit Bitch.
Super thrilled for friends at Irisbel with Walter (SHCH Nadavin Yaden at Irisbel) going BOB espePenelopecially as he is our Penelope’s Dad!
Both girls also had their annual Eye Testing and both passed they also got filmed for More 4 TV at the same time!

Christmas has been and gone with lots of soggy walks and we have a New Year ahead of us. We are looking forward to the new show season started and getting back out with our girls!

Time has flown and all the babies have gone off to their new families, where they are all seem to be settling in wonderfully!

Bath Championship show - Just took Mavis and she got a lovely 2nd in Limit bitch under Becky Johnson
Yeovil and District Open show - Sees Mavis bagging another Best of breed (winning open) and another short list in a massive Gundog Group, with Penelope getting a 3rd in Graduate.

Penelope had her all important health tests this month, its always nerve wracking but needn’t have worried because everything was A-OK!
Hips 4:4, Elbows 0:0 and Eyes clear
WELKS Championship show - Penelope had her first outing since October last year and won Post Graduate Bitch and got that all important CRUFTS 2024 qualification under her belt, and Mavis was placed VHC in Limit Bitch - Judge Mrs D Arrowsmith

CRUFTS - always a momentous day and Mavis did me super proud with a 2nd in Limit Bitch under Breed Specialist Jayne Bennet
But it was Edna (Sylviidae Tell Me Tomorrow) who was my star of the day winning Puppy Bitch, Junior Bitch and then being awarded Best Puppy in Breed, it was just a dream come true!
Bridgend & DKA Open show - Edna at her 2nd show won Puppy and BPIB and Mavis won Open and BOB and was very happy that she also got shortlisted in the Gundog Group.

It has been a busy couple of months we have had our first litter here at Sylviidae - Mavis produced us a beautiful single liver bitch puppy - sired by the wonderful Walter (Nadavin Yaden at Irisbel)
March 2022 - CRUFTS
Blowing me away Neville wins open dog under Judge Charles Holgate.
And Penelope gets wonderful 2nd in really strong Puppy bitch class.
Another successful day at Bristol & District Open show - March 2022, Mavis winning Post Graduate and going on to beat her uncle for BOB, Neville winning Open.
February 2022 brought clear eye test results for both Neville and Mavis.
January 2022 and the show season has started. Our first championship show of the year was Manchester, Neville got a 2nd in Open dog gaining him his stud book number!!
It was also Penelope’s first champ show and she qualified for crufts. All in all a good day.
Mavis qualifies for crufts at LKA by getting 2nd in a very strong Post Graduate class!

We have a new family member here at Sylviidae! Penelope has joined us from the Irisbel Kennel and we are so grateful to them for our girl who is Neville’s granddaughter!
Mavis has been for the first of her health tests and we are now waiting for the results of her Hip and Elbow scores.
